COLUMN: Pulte taps Paragon



-- Paragon Pools has signed contracts with Pulte Homes to be a preferred pool builder for three of the developer's single-story tracts in Summerlin: Echo Ridge, Bella Vista and Sunset Ridge.

-- The Restrepo Consulting Group was retained by Runvee Holdings of Corte Madera, Calif., to analyze the development potential for its 500-acre parcel at the southeast corner of Tropical Parkway and Pecos Road in North Las Vegas.

-- Southwest Engineering has been awarded the engineering contract for a 20-acre residential project located at the southwest corner of Sunset and Fort Apache roads. Engineering costs are estimated at $52,100 for the project, which will be developed by KB Home Nevada.

-- Michael Spilsbury has formed Quantitative Investments LLC, a land development and holding company in Las Vegas. Spilsbury is CEO and a managing partner. Cecil Davis is vice president of marketing and a managing partner.

-- The GVA Industrial Property Group's Dean Willmore represented both parties in Keystone Marketing's purchase of a 6,000-square-foot office/warehouse building at 6360 S. Annie Oakley Drive from Annie Oakley Business Center for $460,000.

-- Thomas and Mack Development Group closed five transactions on five land parcels for LB LVTC II totaling $11.7 million in Las Vegas Technology Center I and II.

-- Stoltz Management's Kirt Klaholz represented the company in its 10-year lease of 25,188 square feet at 985 Trade Drive, Suite E, in Hughes Cheyenne Center to Creative Light Source for $1.6 million. Klaholz again represented the company in its three-year lease of 9,277 square feet at 731 Pilot Road, Suite B, in Hughes Airport Center to DDL Lifelink Botanicals for $236,000.

-- NAI Horizon's Peter Moore and Michael Shaffner represented The Canejo Apartments in its sale of a 252-unit apartment complex at 5060 W. Hacienda Ave. to Canejo Villas for $15.5 million.

-- Ron Mendicino of SBO Commercial represented DPL Investments in its sale of two office buildings: one measuring 6,500 square feet and located at 5876 S. Pecos Road, and the other measuring 8,900 square feet and located at 5860 S. Pecos Road. Both were purchased by M&S Tsubely, represented by Allan June of Century 21 Advantage Gold, for a combined $2.7 million. Mendicino also represented A+ Foods in its 39-month lease of 4,080 square feet at 4560 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite A-2, from Valley View Parc, represented by Pat Marsh, for $92,304.

-- Edward Bassford of Coldwell Banker Commercial represented both parties in College Park Realty Co.'s five-year lease of 1,091 square feet at 2121 Civic Center Drive in North Las Vegas, to J&J The King of Beepers -- Las Vegas, for $90,753. In another transaction, Sandra Naseef represented Honolulu Laundry in its seven-year lease of 14,000 square feet at 6985 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 100, to La Chateaux Banquet Facility for $1.5 million.

-- Shawn Barashy of Lee and Associates represented both parties in Bon Jour's sale of 5,415 square feet at 5008 Cecile Ave. to Midwest Pro Paint for $336,000.

-- Tom Stilley, Lizz Schafer and Jayne Cayton of Colliers International represented R&R Advertising in its 60-month lease of 1,375 square feet at 900 S. Pavilion Center Drive to Initiative Media Worldwide for $142,725. Stilley, Schafer and Cayton also represented Wilmington Trust in its 28-month lease of 2,291 square feet at 3960 Howard Hughes Parkway to First American Title Co. for $133,794. Michael DeLew, Spencer Pinter, Greg Pancirov and Dave Frear represented Koll Valley View III in its 36-month lease of 5,984 square feet at 6125 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite D, to Lagudi Enterprises, dba Mt. Charleston Produce, for $142,344. DeLew, Pinter and Pancirov also represented ARI-Silverado Business Park in its 39-month lease of 6,214 square feet at 4114 N. Pecos Road, Suite 102, to APC International, dba Shanghai International Trading Co., for $120,307. DeLew, Pinter and Pancirov represented Spencer Helm in the 36-month lease of 5,280 square feet at 6672 Spencer St., Suite 600, to FRC Sound Works, represented by Pat Marsh, for $120,876.

-- CB Richard Ellis' Donna Alderson and Jeremy Green represented both parties in Operating Engineers Funds' three-year lease of 93,000 square feet at 4550 Engineers Way in Golden Triangle Industrial Park to Lone Mountain Reload Corp. for $1.1 million. Bill Dunbar represented SunMark Plaza in its five-year lease of 1,300 square feet at 641 Marks St. to Lee Nails for $170,000.
