Pulte touts team effort
Pulte Homes employees are proud to say they work as a team, according to Joe Whatley, an executive with the company. To enhance the team approach, the company hosts several team-building events throughout the year. One example is the company's quarterly meetings. Held at different venues, the meetings consist of singing, dancing, games, contests and costumes. The objective is to show appreciation to all employees and to encourage them to participate in team-building activities. Whatley said working for the company requires a great deal of commitment and that a sense of pride helps the company build homes that the employees themselves would want to own. Many, in fact, do, including Whatley himself. "Pulte is such a family-oriented company," Whatley said. "Pulte puts on special events throughout the entire year to continuously show us how much they care and how much they care about our families." The company has more than 100 local employees. Whatley said team building helps to keep satisfied customers.
