Pulte sponsors Wag-A-Tail Walk-A-Thon

Pulte Homes, in partnership with the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society, will host next month's sixth annual Wag-A-Tail Walk-A-Thon, a two-mile fun walk that may be taken with or without a four-legged friend. The event will be held April 14 in Hills Park in Summerlin.

Festivities will include contests, entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations, stupid pet tricks and free photos of owners with their pets. The registration fee is $20, and forms are available at all Pulte Homes neighborhoods. The sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by the walk at 9 a.m.

To participate, take Summerlin Parkway west to Rampart Boulevard and turn right. Proceed to Hillpointe Road, turn left and proceed to the park.

Event proceeds will benefit the humane society and will be used to provide shelter, food, medical care, and low or no-cost spay and neuter services for animals in Clark County.

"At Pulte Homes, we are thankful for the great success and support that Pulte has seen in Southern Nevada over the past several years," said Steve Petruska, Pulte's Las Vegas Division and Southwest Region president. "We enjoy giving back and supporting the community in any way that we can."

The Las Vegas Valley Humane Society is a nonprofit, all-volunteer, no-kill organization that rescues animals, and provides a protective environment until a home is found. Last year, the society found homes for more than 1,000 cats and dogs, all spayed or neutered and vaccinated before being placed for adoption.

Pulte Homes, the nation's largest home builder, currently offers 12 neighborhoods in Southern Nevada.
