Rhodes' Fiori brings European design

Fiori, a townhome development within Tuscany Residential Village, a Henderson master-planned community, features exteriors and interiors with a European flair, according to Glynda Rhodes, owner of i.d. Interior Design.

The interior design firm vice president, who collaborates with Rhodes Homes in furnishing models and offering custom design to homeowners, said inspiration for Fiori came straight from Italy.

"My husband, Jim Rhodes, Rhodes Homes' president and founder, and I got much of our inspiration when we visited Italy. We saw the beautiful stonework and rich red tones and used those stimuli for the outside of Fiori," Glynda Rhodes said.

The model of Residence 2106 features a marble Italian staircase that a buyer can purchase through i.d. Interior Design as a décor option, according to Rhodes.

Other décor options include brick and stone façades for interior walls and vibrant colors in every room.

"The craftsmanship in Italy is just amazing," Rhodes said. "The architecture is beautiful, and still standing after 2,000 years. It was an inspiration when I designed Fiori's interiors."

Fiori's three floor plans range from 2,106 to 2,307 square feet. Pricing begins in the low $300,000s. Each townhome includes a two-car garage. Residences include a laundry room on the third floor.

The two-bedroom designs offer an optional third bedroom or den on the ground floor. Master baths feature a dual-sink vanity and separate water closets, tubs and showers.

Kitchens include a food-preparation island and pantry.

The 2,106-square-foot Plan A includes a second-floor great room opening onto a full terrace.

Plan B, at 2,307 square feet, offers a ground-floor alcove that opens to the garage and the stairway. Upstairs is another alcove on the left, leading to the kitchen and dining area that opens out onto the terrace.

Plan C, a 2,268-square-foot design, has a porch on the ground floor off the optional third bedroom or office. Plan C's master bath includes a Roman tub in its own alcove.

A 35,000-square-foot recreation center is under construction. It will include a basketball court, two racquetball/handball courts, fitness room, meeting rooms, card room, billiards, tennis courts, lap pool, lagoon pool, children's playground and a picnic area.

To visit, take Lake Mead Drive past Boulder Highway to Mohawk Drive and turn left. Follow Olivia Parkway to the La Piazza office at Via del Corallo. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
