Siena closes 1,000th home sale
Sunrise Colony Co. reached a milestone recently when it closed its 1,000th home sale in Siena, an age-qualified community in Summerlin. Forrest and Chris Morgan closed on their home March 21. "We received the keys to our home on Friday afternoon and began moving that same evening," Forrest Morgan said. In recognition, the couple received a gift basket, in addition to gift certificates to the community's golf pro shop and restaurant. While their new residence was being built, the couple rented a home in Siena. "(It) enabled us to use all of the wonderful facilities," Morgan said. "We are both active tennis players, and we've been enjoying working out in the health and fitness center three to five times a week. We are also looking forward to participating in some of the social events. We've had the opportunity to meet several of our neighbors, and everyone ... here is just so friendly." The Morgans selected the Como 6150 plan, a 2,156-square-foot design priced from $276,500. It has two bedrooms, a den or third bedroom and two baths. It also has a living room with media niche or optional fireplace; a sunrise room with media niche; kitchen with breakfast bar, pantry and optional desk; laundry room with optional sink/cabinet or hobby space; a secondary bedroom that can be converted to a second master suite; covered back patio; and two-car garage. A 39,000-square-foot social center is under construction. It will have a grand ballroom, business center, arts and crafts, and card and game rooms, and is expected to open this summer. Other resident amenities include a golf course, health and fitness center, swimming pools, bocce and tennis courts, and a clubhouse. Homes within the guard-gated community are priced from the $150,000s to the $390,000s, plus site premiums. Six Italian-themed collections comprise 18 single-story floor plans, ranging from 1,040 to 3,200 square feet. Each plan offers three exterior designs and customizing options that may include courtyard fireplaces and casitas with separate entrances. A design center is on-site. To tour the model village, take Sahara Avenue or Interstate 215 to Town Center Drive and go south to Siena Monte Avenue. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
