Del Webb's reputation prompts Aliante purchase
A phone call from Gail Pearl's sister prompted the Santa Barbara, Calif., resident and her husband, Mike, to visit Sun City Aliante, a new age-qualified community being developed by Del Webb in North Las Vegas. "My sister is a Realtor and had taken one of her clients to visit Sun City Aliante. She knew it would be a fun community that we would enjoy and called to tell us about it," Gail Pearl said. After visiting, the Pearls bought a Cedar design home. The 1,716-square-foot home has three bedrooms, two baths, a great room, dining room, kitchen nook and rear patio. "We were looking for a community where we could get in at the ground level. Our interest in buying was predicated on knowing how well other Del Webb communities have developed. Del Webb's planning, recreational offerings and activities make them even more attractive to us," Mike Pearl said. Much of Gail Pearl's family lives in Sun City Summerlin, the builder's first Sun City community in Southern Nevada. "All of the pieces fit together. We bought a piece of dirt in the middle of the desert because we know it will become a great home in a great community," Mike Pearl said. The community's amenities were part of the appeal. Mike Pearl enjoys fitness activities and plans to play tennis and golf. Gail Pearl plans to use the fitness center to keep in shape and meet other residents. While awaiting completion of their home, they receive e-mail photo updates from Gail Pearl's sister. "It has been fun seeing the construction progress and our home being completed. We met with the design team recently and picked out our flooring, which was another great experience," Gail Pearl said. Seven designs are available. Prices start from the $140,000s to more than $230,000. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Frontage Road, turn right and go to Interstate 215. Head east to Simmons Street, then go north. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
