Street of Dreams set to open in May

The Street of Dreams luxury housing tour returns to Southern Nevada in May for a five-week run. MacDonald Highlands, a guard-gated community in Henderson, will host the event for the second time.

From May 15 through June 20, several furnished and accessorized custom residences will be open to the public.

The multimillion dollar homes are under construction, and range from 5,400 to 9,500 square feet. Variously, the homes feature views of the city and mountains, as well as of the community's DragonRidge Country Club.

The participating builders are: Artistic Estates, Christopher Homes, Sun West Custom Homes and Sunwood Inc.

Bryan Ashbaugh, chief executive of Street of Dreams Inc., said the homes will showcase the finest in luxurious indoor and outdoor living.

"This will be an unforgettable event, featuring some of the most elegant and expensive homes we've ever had in a Street of Dreams," he said. "We are particularly pleased to once again be holding the show in MacDonald Highlands, where the terraced topography is enabling our builders to create a series of magnificent residences."

More than 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the show, which will be open Tuesdays through Sundays and closed on Mondays, except Memorial Day.

The event marks the fourth Street of Dreams show to be held in Southern Nevada.

Built around DragonRidge, MacDonald Highlands is comprised of 10 custom-home neighborhoods and three parks.

Street of Dreams Inc., a Seattle-based company, has hosted more than 60 luxury housing tours in North America since 1985.
