Sun City plans events for spring

"We offer a range of activities from Pilates to poker," program director Michelle Hopewell said. "Our resident population is interesting and diverse resulting in many new friendships."

The schedule of activities include a home decorating show, rib cook-off, tennis tournament, classic car show, luxury travel event, hiking club events, Senior Olympics, and Las Vegas 51s baseball games.

The 326-acre property features a community center. Adjacent to Sun City is the Aliante Golf Club, a public course at which residents receive special membership privileges.

Seven single-story home designs are available, ranging from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet and priced from the $240,000s. Each home purchase includes front and rear desert landscaping.

The homes are built with Environments For Living technology, which includes energy-saving features such as low-e windows.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 north to the Interstate 215 (Las Vegas Beltway) East exit. Make a right onto Sky Pointe Drive, a right onto Frontage Road, and then left onto the Beltway. Head east to the Aliante Parkway exit then go north.

The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Del Webb is a subsidiary of Pulte Homes Inc. The company is the leading builder of communities for people age 55 and older.

The builder also has new homes available in the age-qualified communities of Sun City Anthem, Solera at Anthem and Solera at Stallion Mountain, as well as at the all-ages communities of The Club at Aliante and The Club at Madeira Canyon.
