Construction progresses on Residences high-rises

Construction on The Residences at MGM Grand luxury condominium-hotel is continuing rapidly, as the first tower will be completed in May. The second tower has surpassed the 32nd floor, and the third high-rise has reached the seventh floor.

One-third of the residences in the third tower remain available, according to Dan Riordan, director of sales.

"The brisk sales pace of this community is truly remarkable," he said. "People are seeking out the amenity-rich, low-maintenance lifestyle available at The Residences."

Studio, one- and two-bedroom residences are available in the third tower. Prices start from the $600,000s to more than $2.5 million.

Highlights include crown moldings, raised-panel doors and high-speed voice/data connectivity.

Other amenities include granite counter tops, Snaidero kitchen cabinetry, private owners' closets, Sub-Zero refrigerators, Miele appliances, baths with spa tubs, and flat-screen HDTVs.

Each tower will feature 24-hour front desk and concierge services, in-suite dining and a guarded entrance. Also on-site will be fitness centers and swimming pools. Residents also have access to the amenities of the resort.

The Residences will comprise 1,727 units in three 40-story towers on the northeast end of the hotel's 116-acre property. It is a joint venture between MGM Grand and developer Turnberry Associates.

A sales office features a model of a two-bedroom residence. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in MGM Grand's Studio Walk.
