Retiree buys condo at Trump tower

Terry Gould, a retired businessman and an Arizona resident, and his wife recently purchased a unit at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Las Vegas.

"My wife, Mary Ellen, and I enjoy all Las Vegas has to offer," Gould said. "When we heard Trump was building a condo-hotel project there, we knew immediately it would be a quality project and would be successful."

Now a legal consultant, Gould plans to spend about a week each month in his unit, and to offer it to family and friends at other times. He said he felt "lucky" to reserve a unit, considering the brisk sales activity at the development.

"By 9 a.m. the next morning, all our first choice units were reserved, so we took our second choice," he said. "We have the best of both worlds now, we live in Phoenix and play in Las Vegas."

The 64-story tower is currently under construction and will be encased in 24-karat gold glass.

It will comprise 1,282 condominium hotel units, including 880 studio and 352 one-bedroom suites on the 16th through the 59th floors, and 50 one-, two- and three-bedroom penthouse suites on the upper five floors.

Each suite will feature contemporary furnishings, glass coffee tables with gold-tone finishes, and Brazilian Rosewood dining tables with tufted upholstered dining chairs illuminated by silver-toned chandeliers.

The units will have one to 3 1/2 baths with Breccia Oniciata floors, rounded vanities with silver and gold hardware, and a deep brown and gold marble top.

The European-style kitchens will include Wolf, Bosch, Dacor and Sub-Zero appliances.

Additional amenities will include owners' "lockout closets," wireless Internet, cable television and in-suite movies. Floor-to-ceiling windows will maximize views of the Las Vegas Valley.

On-site conveniences will include 24-hour concierge and security services; a professionally-managed spa, fitness center and salon; heated outdoor pool and sundeck with a bar; business center with meeting facilities; doorman as well as valet parking services; and gourmet and casual dining.

Prices for the units range from the $700,000s to $7 million.

Fewer than 100 units remain available.

The sales office is located at 3128 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on the northwest corner of the Las Vegas Strip and Fashion Show Drive.
