Jesse Fruman recently purchased a condominium at the Carlisle at Summerlin development. He had nearly purchased a unit elsewhere before having second thoughts.
"Carlisle feels more like a community to me, there's more of a community atmosphere," he said. "It was simply a better fit."

Sales agent Tiffany Shleifer said many buyers have made the same statement to her.
"I think that's one reason we have such a wide range of owners," she said. "People who buy here say they have a very comfortable feeling about living in Carlisle. We have people coming to Carlisle ... from all over the country, from New York to Los Angeles, from Chicago to Florida."
Fruman graduated law school in California and was offered a job by a real estate developer in Las Vegas. He had been renting an apartment.
"I figured if I were going to make a change, I'd go all out and become an owner," he said. "Of those I looked at, this was one of the more affordable luxury communities."
