Sales on fast track at Turnberry

Sales have exceeded expectations at Turnberry Towers, Turnberry Associates' new high-rise residential development. The east tower sold out in less than three months and started construction last June. Sales are under way for the west tower, where excavation work has started.

The development will comprise dual 45-story towers and 636 units at the corner of Paradise Road and Karen Avenue. Each tower will feature a fitness facility, an outdoor pool, landscaping, tennis, valet and 24-hour security.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2008.

John Riordan, vice president of sales, said the development caters to primary and second-home buyers desiring a low-maintenance lifestyle, five-star service, upscale amenities and views.

"Once prospective purchasers are introduced to Turnberry Towers, they do not want to miss the opportunity to enjoy the simplicity and privacy that are trademarks of the Turnberry lifestyle," he said.

The residences will contain Italian marble baths and spa tubs, granite-topped European kitchen cabinetry, upgraded appliances and 9-foot ceilings. Additionally, all units will be equipped with Smart Home technology.

The one-bedroom, 1 1/2-bath unit has a kitchen with a counter bar and is open to the great room.

The two-bedroom, two-bath plan has a den, living room and floor-to-ceiling windows providing a 180-degree view of the Strip and mountains.

In the west tower, there is a two-bedroom, two-bath plan that encompasses the entire floor allowing for expansive views.

On the top 12 floors in both towers are three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath homes with balconies overlooking the Strip.

Prices start from $550,000 to more than $1.3 million.

The sales office is located at 222 Karen Ave., and features a 1,658-square-foot furnished model. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
