Enclave home open to visitors
Visitors may still tour Christopher Homes' 10,000-square-foot, $7.5 million show home located in The Enclave, a guard-gated neighborhood at Southern Highlands Golf Club in the southwestern valley. The home will be open for guided tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. A $10 donation per person is requested, with all proceeds going to Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer of Southern Nevada. Visitors must be 12 or older. During the past five weeks, thousands of visitors have toured the residence, which features numerous amenities, including some that are new to the housing industry. The floor plan features four courtyards, a home theater, wellness center, indoor sports court, sky room, seven fireplaces and 10 baths. To tour the home, take Interstate 15 to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit and go west to the community's entrance. The show home is one of 18 residences ranging from about 5,000 to 10,000 square feet that will be built in the neighborhood. Home sites measure from 13,800 to about 35,000 square feet, and most align the golf course. Nearly all front the neighborhood's private park, which features a waterfall and pond. Most will also offer views of the city and mountains. Prices of the custom homes, including the sites, are expected to range from about $1.5 million to $8 million. Each buyer receives a golf membership to Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval. Mark Stuhmer, vice president of Christopher Homes' custom-home division, said the company simplifies the building process for buyers. "A team of the nation's finest architects and designers have been assembled to create each of the 18 magnificent custom homes that will be located in The Enclave," Stuhmer said. Along with full-service design capabilities, the company provides each client with interior design consultation, which can help them with electrical, plumbing, flooring, counter tops and cabinetry choices.
