MacDonald Highlands to host open house
MacDonald Highlands Realty will host an open house today from 1 to 4 p.m. for Grandezza, a two-story residence located within the guard-gated MacDonald Highlands community in Henderson. "We've been building luxurious custom homes in Southern Nevada for more that 15 years, and could not pass up a great opportunity to build in a premier location within MacDonald Highlands," said Steven Jones, a partner in DragonRidge Custom Homes. "Grandezza is situated above the golf course and looks down upon the greenery and lake of DragonRidge Country Club." Architectural features include a porte-cochere entry, two-story windows, and a staircase that leads to two separate wings. The home has five bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths, and a combination library and office in 5,514 square feet. In the owner suite are dual bath areas, as well as a retreat with a fireplace. Other areas of the home include a formal living room with a fireplace, formal dining room with a butler's pantry, and an island kitchen with custom cabinets. Outdoor amenities include brick pavers, front and rear landscaping, a pool and spa. The residence is priced at just under $1.7 million. MacDonald Highlands, a 1,200-acre luxury community, will include three parks. Combined, those parks encompass 10 acres with tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, as well as play areas and picnic facilities. The centerpiece is DragonRidge Country Club, a private golf course. A permanent clubhouse under construction is expected to open this year with a pro shop, fitness facility, swimming pool, upscale dining, and a grill and lounge. A temporary clubhouse is open. Residences start at $1.4 million with hillside and golf course locations. Custom lots are priced from $191,000 to $3.5 million. The information center at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, is open daily. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and travel south to Horizon Ridge.
