Astoria debuts models

Centennial Village, a neighborhood by Astoria Homes, will open five model homes today.

"The Centennial Village homes are beautiful and ideal for any family," company executive Sia Howe said.

The gated subdivision, situated in northwest Las Vegas, offers four two-story floor plans and one single-level design that range from 1,612 to 2,630 square feet. Homes feature three to five bedrooms and two- or three-car garages.

Amenities include iron stair rails, shutters, landscaped front yards and upgraded kitchen appliances. A 2-10 warranty package is also included.

Prices start from the $170,000s.

The neighborhood features elements to add to its "friendly, neighborhood feel," Howe said, including two playgrounds with swings, covered picnic tables, a basketball half-court and lawns.

All homes comply with the Energy Star program, which results in lower utility bills for homeowners.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Durango Drive and turn right. Turn left on El Capitan Way and then west on Iron Mountain Road.
