Sun City Aliante opens models
Visitors toured seven new model homes last weekend at Sun City Aliante, one of Del Webb's newest residential developments. Hundreds gathered to get a glimpse of the North Las Vegas community's model homes, which began construction in December and received their finishing touches just days before the event. Presales began in October. "We can see our hard work paid off when we hear visitors say how much they like the models," said Dale Juilfs, lead superintendent for the model construction. "We're glad we've designed homes that our customers will enjoy." Amenities on display in the homes include solid surface kitchen counter tops, textured finishes on all walls, and ceramic tile in select areas. "This is the first time we've been to an opening of a community like this," said Joel Rosenfeld, who visited the grand opening with his wife, Bonnie Matthew. "Before we came, we were skeptical about moving to an age-restricted community, but after seeing the models I understand why people like them so much." Homes range from the 1,155-square-foot Heather model to the 2,105-square-foot Coronado. The Cedar, the most popular model, is a 1,716-square-foot home with three bedrooms, two baths, a great room, dining room, kitchen nook and rear patio. All homes feature the developer's Environments for Living energy-efficient technology. As the age-qualified component of the Aliante master-planned community, Sun City Aliante will be built around an 18-hole municipal golf course. Other amenities include a recreation center with tennis and bocce courts, a swimming pool, fitness center, and club and hobby rooms. Prices start from the mid-$140,000s to more than $230,000. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 north to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Frontage Road, turn right and go to Interstate 215. Head east to Simmons Street, then go north. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
