Turnberry to begin new tower project

Sales are scheduled to begin Saturday for Turnberry Towers, a residential development of twin 45-story towers at Paradise Road and Karen Avenue. The site is just east of the Strip.

"Las Vegas is becoming more and more of a second-home buying market, continuing its evolution as one of the world's great resort cities," said John Riordan, vice president of sales. "Today, the city features incredible hotels, celebrity chefs, upscale shopping, great year-round weather and tremendous business opportunities."

Each tower will contain 318 units that will be finished with Italian marble baths with spa tubs, granite-topped European kitchen cabinetry, upgraded appliances and 9-foot ceilings.

Prices start from about $400,000 to $1.1 million.

The developer, Turnberry Associates, built Turnberry Place, which is also located on Paradise Road.

Construction on the first tower is expected to begin in early 2007.

Amenities are planned to include a fitness center, an outdoor pool with sundeck, a sand beach, landscaping and tennis courts.

A 1,658-square-foot furnished model is displayed in the sales office at 222 Karen Ave.

It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
