The architectural design and prospect of downtown Las Vegas growth were key elements in Maynard Lamusao's decision to buy a home at juhl, City Mark Development's mid-rise, mixed-use project at Fourth Street and Bonneville Avenue.
"I can't wait to live at juhl," Lamusao said. "I am truly excited to be part of the beautification of Las Vegas as I watch it grow and parallel with my work."

Lamusao, who is moving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to open a new medical spa specializing in facial enhancements, lived the urban lifestyle in downtown Los Angeles.
"I selected juhl for its atmosphere and inspiration characterized by its edgy exposed mechanical and concrete surfaces. In addition, the price point was competitive and the reputation of the builder made it all happen for me," he said.
More than 100 floor plans range from 600 to 2,500 square feet with both one- and two-story designs in buildings of varying heights and facades. Remaining units include live/work lofts, mid- and high-rise lofts, townhouses, flats and penthouses.
Prices start in the mid-$200,000s.
Lamusao looks forward to the completion of his one-bedroom home on the top floor of one of the mid-rise buildings, where he will be able to view downtown through 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows.
Other interior features include energy-efficient air conditioning and heating, high-speed Internet access, kitchens with granite counters, maple cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, Grohe chrome plumbing fixtures and private balconies.
Plans for the building's common areas call for a two-story fitness center, a landscaped rooftop courtyard with a pool and spa, a gated parking structure, and 24,000 square feet of retail space.
In addition, the property is walking distance from several downtown attractions, including restaurants, galleries and night spots.
Developer CityMark has built several urban dwelling projects throughout San Diego. Their first venture in Las Vegas is juhl.
Sales contracts are under way.
