Residential development is nearing completion in Summerlin's The Vistas Village.
New homes in two of the village's 28 neighborhoods are still available for purchase, according to Peggy Chandler, senior vice president of community development for The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties and developer of Summerlin.

The actively selling neighborhoods include Altessa by Pacific Properties and Kingwood by R/S Development, Ryland Homes and William Lyon Homes.
"The Vistas is one of Summerlin's most popular villages with its 48-foot, European-inspired clock tower entry monument that have become landmarks of the community," Chandler said. "The village has come into its own ... the architectural style, location, home options and village amenities have made The Vistas Village one of the fastest-selling villages in the community's history."
More than 20 condominium and one- to two-story home designs are still available.
European-inspired, Altessa is a 280-unit gated condominium development, offering 10 floor plan variations from 684 to 1,393 square feet. The development features a private clubhouse, exercise room, fire pit, barbecue area, and pool and spa area for residents. Prices start in the low $200,000s.
Kingwood features three home collections by three distinct home builders -- Kingwood Crossing by William Lyon Homes; The Crown Series at Kingwood by R/S Development and Kingwood Knoll by Ryland Homes. At completion, Kingwood will offer 326 one- to two-story single-family homes, ranging from 1,515 to 3,158 square feet.
The neighborhood will include two neighborhood parks with children's play and open lawn areas. Homes begin from the low $300,000s.
In addition to residential development, recreational and commercial projects are underway. They include Vistas Commons, a neighborhood shopping center anchored by Albertsons; and a major 20-plus area regional park, The Vistas Park, that will feature a 6,000-square-foot community center, swimming pool, children's play areas, tennis and basketball courts, two baseball fields and Summerlin's first football field.
The park is expected to be finished this year, with its baseball fields completed in time for spring Little League season.
Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., Summerlin is a 22,500-acre master-planned community located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley.
The community is home to more than 93,000 residents. With 7,500 acres still to develop, including its urban core, Summerlin Centre, the community is home to 100-plus neighborhood and village parks, more than 120 completed miles of the Summerlin Trail System, 19 public and private schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, medical, cultural and business facilities, and more than 60 model homes.
Homes are available in a variety of styles -- from single-family homes to townhomes, condominiums and lofts -- priced from the low $200,000s to more than $1 million. Custom home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $500,000s. Luxury apartment homes offer monthly rents starting from the low $1,000s.
