Twenty-five homes reserved at debut of Southern Terrace
Home shoppers were anxious to take advantage of pre-grand opening prices and home site availability last weekend at Southern Terrace, a southwestern valley community comprised of four neighborhoods. As Perma-Bilt Homes prepared to open the doors to the temporary sales office, a line of potential buyers had already formed outside. "We had 25 reservations at Southern Terrace before the weekend was over," sales and marketing executive Ruth Ochoa said. "Many of those coming out to learn more about Southern Terrace and make a reservation were existing Perma-Bilt homeowners who are now looking for a move-up home. It was great to see many of our happy customers returning to purchase another home." Interest was particularly strong for the Ridgemont neighborhood, according to Ochoa. "Our all-single-story Ridgemont neighborhood really appeals to home shoppers looking for a spacious single-story plan on a ... home site that averages 70 feet wide by 110 feet deep and more plus amenities such as optional fifth bedrooms, optional casitas and front courtyard entries," she said. Ridgemont offers four designs ranging from 2,223 to 2,759 square feet, and priced from the $220,000s to the $240,000s. Three-car garages are standard. Also attracting buyers was Somerset, Ochoa said, where pre-grand opening prices start from $149,950. Two of Somerset's four floor plans are single-story designs, each with three bedrooms and two baths. They measure 1,637 and 1,379 square feet. The two-story plans measure 2,062 and 2,467 square feet with as many as five bedrooms and a three-car garage. There are four two-story floor plans with as many as four bedrooms available at the Autumn Hills neighborhood. Homes range from 1,564 to 1,997 square feet, and are priced from the $140,000s. Lofts and bonus rooms are optional. Prices start from the mid-$200,000s at Monterey, where three floor plans range from 2,860 to 3,464 square feet with as many as six bedrooms. Features include split three-car garages, home offices, casitas and play rooms. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Russell Road and head west. The temporary sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m. The permanent sales office and model homes are slated to open in June. Construction will begin soon on the $2 million Southern Terrace Club, a 4,900-square-foot recreation facility for the exclusive use of residents. Amenities will include a family swimming pool; an adults-only pool; a playground; picnic and barbecue area; health club with workout room, saunas and locker rooms; and a massage facility. A full-time director will be on-site. Completion is scheduled for October.
