Airman chooses Manzanita

Ryan Rhodes, a senior airman stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, looked at only one community before choosing where to buy his condominium. The Jacksonville, Fla., native purchased at Manzanita Condominium Homes, a complex located in the northeastern Las Vegas Valley.

"I mainly decided to purchase at Manzanita because of the great location. With it being so close to the Air Force base there was really no reason to look at any other communities. This location was perfect for me," Rhodes said.

He purchased the Mariposa floor plan that includes two bedrooms and two baths. The plan has 1,056 square feet and features a walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Prices start in the $130,000s.

"I liked everything about the floor plan. It has a really nice, big walk-in closet and a great open layout," he said.

Manzanita also offers the Paloma floor plan that has a separate dining area and two patios. The plan has one patio in the front of the unit and one off the master suite. The Paloma floor plan has 1,240 square feet and includes three bedrooms and two baths. This plan starts in the mid-$160,000s.

Standard features in each plan include a pantry, ceiling fans, gas fireplace, all appliances, architecturally designed wall features, linen closet, vaulted and 9-foot ceilings, and a full-size washer and dryer.

Amenities at the complex include covered parking, clubhouse, pool and spa, fitness club, sand volleyball court, business center, landscaped children's playground area, clubhouse with outdoor water feature, and a gated entrance.

"I love the community amenities at Manzanita," Rhodes said. "I especially love the hot tub. I'm in there all the time. They also have a great place to work out that I use as often as I can. The community offers everything that I want and could need. The complex is very nice looking and it's a nice quiet neighborhood in an area of town that is a lot less congested."

The complex is located at 4730 E. Craig Road. To visit, take Interstate 15 to Craig Road and go east, past Lamb Boulevard, toward Nellis Boulevard and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
