Friends lead buyers to US Home's Copperfield
Upon the recommendation of friends, Paul and Marla Crawford decided to purchase a home at US Home's Copperfield neighborhood in northwest Las Vegas. They chose the Cherryhill plan. "It's a wonderful single-story design. The vaulted ceilings and openness make the home so livable. It feels like we have gained two times the space, yet their is still a cozy feeling about the Cherryhill that is so appealing," said Marla Crawford, who is in retail sales. Paul Crawford, who works in the airline industry, was impressed by the three-car garage. "The house is Marla's, and the garage is all mine," he said, adding that it still held a treasure-trove of unpacked boxes. Their formal living room and dining room feature European furnishings that the couple collected during the six years that Paul Crawford served in the Air Force. The couple lived about 70 miles outside of London and spent much of their free time sharing their passion for unique furniture pieces. The home also features a covered entry, ceramic-tile foyer, a family room with a fireplace, linen closets, a laundry room, Corian counter tops and a walk-in pantry in the kitchen, and a patio off of the breakfast nook. An owner suite features a retreat, walk-in closet, separate shower and tub, and cultured-marble sinks and counter tops. "Another thing we really liked about Copperfield was the size of the home sites. We wanted ... plenty of room for a large pool and patio area," Paul Crawford said. Their swimming pool is under construction and there is also a little running room for their active golden retriever. From the options offered with the Cherryhill plan, the Crawfords selected a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath design. The home also features options that include as many as five bedrooms, and a den or study. It measures from about 2,500 square feet. The neighborhood offers nine single- and two-story designs, ranging from 2,167 to 4,200 square feet and priced from the low $200,000s. A neighborhood park is also featured. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, go east to Jones Boulevard, then travel north to Azure Drive. The models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. US Home is developing several other neighborhoods throughout the valley. Also in the northwest is Steeplechase, a gated neighborhood in presales with 12 single- and two-story designs ranging from 2,550 to 4,500 square feet, home sites as large as one-half acre, and prices starting from the mid-$200,000s. Offered in the Seven Hills community in Henderson is Palazzo Monte. The neighborhood features city and mountain views and four floor plans, measuring from 2,500 to 3,800 square feet and priced from the high $200,000s. Three neighborhoods are under construction in the southwestern valley and are: Palomino Canyon, with four floor plans, ranging from 1,497 to 2,659 square feet and priced from the $170,000s; Stillwater Canyon with nine designs, measuring from 2,550 to more than 4,500 square feet and priced from the mid-$200,000s; and Aberdeen, which is in presales in the Southern Highlands community with four plans priced from the mid-$200,000s.
