COLUMN: McKinney-James forms consulting firm
-- Rose McKinney-James has formed Energy Works Consulting LLC, which serves public policy clients with a focus on energy, education and environmental issues. McKinney-James resigned as president of Brown & Partners to start the company. She has also served as a Public Utilities commissioner; president and chief executive officer of Corporation for Solar Technology & Renewable Resources; and was the first director of the Nevada Department of Business and Industry. -- Bob Hamrick, president and chief executive at Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, has been named to the USAA MoversAdvantage Advisory Council, a real estate and relocation services program offered by USAA Federal Savings Bank and its subsidiary, USAA Relocation Services. -- Colours Inc., an interior design firm, has relocated to 7373 Peak Drive, Suite 230. -- Terra West Property Management has added Chartered Development, a home building firm, to its list of clients. -- Ross Bennett of the Business Properties Group represented the company in its five-year lease of 2,000 square feet at 1550 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suites N and O, in Henderson, to Allstate Insurance for $235,725. -- Charles Van Geel of American Nevada Corp. represented the company in its five-year lease of 1,569 square feet in Green Valley Corporate Center at 2275 Corporate Circle in Henderson to GGM Investments, represented by Dale Brown of Brownstone Commercial Real Estate and Brad Peterson of CB Richard Ellis for $208,000.
