Las Vegas businessman purchases Newport Lofts condominium

David Mizrahi, president of Las Vegas-based Best Mattress, said he watched Newport Lofts "come out of the ground," liked what he saw and purchased in the 23-story residential tower situated within the Las Vegas arts district between the Strip and downtown.

With the final phase of construction well under way, Mizrahi said he looks forward to closing on his loft-style condominium. The first closings are planned for this spring.

The high-rise loft development is in proximity to entertainment destinations, shopping districts and the World Market Center, where Mizrahi purchases mattresses for his retail stores.

"I'm excited about what's happening in the downtown area. Lots of revitalization projects are under way and the whole area is changing tremendously. Newport Lofts is well positioned for the future," he said.

Mizrahi purchased a single-story loft on the 19th floor. The floor plan measures 1,644 square feet with a terrace that extends the livable area by 181 square feet. The business executive's loft offers the expansive views of downtown and the valley beyond that will be the signature of the 168-unit tower.

Units start at 90 feet up from the street, providing each with views of the Strip, downtown area and surrounding mountains. Architectural highlights include 10 1/2-foot ceilings with exposed stainless steel ductwork, ceiling-to-floor windows in select units and private terraces.

Interiors feature Italian granite countertops and custom Italian cabinetry, Sub-Zero, Bosch and Wolf appliances and Dornbracht and Kohler fixtures.

The project's developers are California-based Seegmiller Partners and Cherry Development of Las Vegas.

The development offers 13 single-story loft plans ranging from 912 to 1,650 square feet and three remaining penthouses providing 1,912 to 3,073 square feet.

Prices range from the mid-$400,000s to just under $2 million.

Residents will have exclusive use of a rooftop deck with a triangular swimming pool overlooking the Strip. Other rooftop amenities will include a Jacuzzi, spa facilities, locker rooms, running track and commercial-grade gym. The Newport Skyroom Clubhouse will feature a lounge, billiards area and movie room. Rooftop garden areas will provide 360-degree views of Las Vegas.

Other amenities are 24-hour doorman service, ground-floor retail and an on-premise secure parking structure with assigned storage units.

Sales office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Sunday, when the office opens at noon.

The sales center is located at 903 S. Casino Center Blvd. To visit, take Interstate 15 and exit Charleston Boulevard east, exit 41-B. Continue on Charleston, turn north on Casino Center and proceed to the sales center, located at the intersection of Casino Center and Hoover Avenue.
