Liz Hill and husband, Carl Soong, said they found the ideal home design as well as the fitness-based community lifestyle they were seeking at William Lyon Homes' Bella Sera at Mountain Falls, located in Pahrump 45 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, in a master-planned golf course community being developed by William Lyon Homes.

A 20-year student of yoga, Liz Hill said she contributes to her healthy lifestyle by teaching yoga classes at the community resident facility.

"Teaching yoga is what I've always wanted to do. Moving to Bella Sera helped me realize a lifelong dream," Liz said. "Plus Carl and I escaped the traffic of Las Vegas, have a lovely home and enjoy a wonderful quality of life here."

The community resident facility is ideally suited for yoga classes, according to Liz.

"There's a dedicated private space with resilient floors, mirrors and enough room to accommodate up to 25 students," she said. "Plus there's serenity in the setting. The nearby golf course provides a natural sense of relaxation. It's a place where we can exercise, relieve stress and have fun as a community," she said.

The couple selected the Plan Two, a 2,635-square-foot single-story home with four to five bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and three-car garage.

Liz and Carl opted for the attached casita in lieu of a third garage.

Part of Liz's fitness routine includes practicing yoga.

She jumped on the opportunity to suggest a yoga class on a questionnaire she received from the community resident facility. Her idea was a hit; classes are now available to residents for a nominal fee. "They were seeking residents interested in presenting fitness classes," said Liz, who has been in yoga teacher training programs for a decade. "Mountain Falls is in its infancy and has the potential to develop into a wonderful yoga community. I love sharing my knowledge of yoga with my neighbors and it's perfect that I can walk to where I teach."

In addition to yoga classes, the resident facility offers a fully equipped fitness center, resident lounge with pool table, family pool, adult pool, spa and interactive water-play area.

Bella Sera is an all single-story community. Home designs include three-, four- and five-bedrooms and range from 2,495 to 2,897 square feet. Every floor plan includes a three-car garage and entry courtyard. Casita, library, den and master retreat options are offered in some floor plans. Prices start in the low $300,000s.

The community includes the single-story neighborhoods of Cascata Ancora and Tramonto by William Lyon Homes. Cascata Ancora offers four floor plans measuring 1,429 to 1,774 square feet. Layouts have three bedrooms and two baths.

Prices start in the low $200,000s.

Tramonto features four home designs ranging from 1,970 to 2,445 square feet. Tramonto's offerings include three-car garages and have as many as four bedrooms and three baths. Homes are priced from the mid-$200,000s.

Residents at Bella Sera, Tramonto and Cascata Ancora will have access to neighborhood mini parks and an a 4-mile walking trail. The Mountain Falls Grill Room, located in the clubhouse adjacent to the community resident facility, is open to residents, golfers and the public.

Model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at noon.

To visit, travel about 45 miles west on Blue Diamond Road, past Interstate 15.

Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road. Proceed to Hafen Ranch and turn right, then left on Lakeview Drive to the model homes.
