Tennis star Agassi joins forces with 24 Hour Fitness center
Tennis great Andre Agassi has joined forces with 24 Hour Fitness to create the first 24 Hour Fitness Agassi Super-Sport Club in The Trails village in Summerlin. "It's a real plus to have Andre Agassi affiliated with the 24 Hour Fitness in Summerlin," said Larry Brocato, executive vice president for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of the master-planned community. "His well-established reputation as an advocate of health and fitness will complement the club's services and programs while further promoting Summerlin's recreational amenities." "Having spent a great deal of my life devoted to fitness, I am confident I will be able to assist in creating and implementing programs that will help others achieve their health and fitness goals," Agassi said. "And what better place to start than in my hometown of Las Vegas?" Agassi has put his signature on the club's look, feel and facilities, and has become the face for the company's new advertising campaign. "His knowledge of and passion for fitness are unparalleled in the world of sports, and will be a huge benefit to our team and members," said Mark Mastrov, chairman and CEO of 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide. The full-service facility features a 25-meter lap pool; a spa; steam room; sauna; and an indoor court for racquetball, squash and basketball. Also available are group exercise classes, personal training and nutritional programming. In addition, Kids' Club provides on-site baby-sitting, and a pro shop offers apparel. Summerlin aligns the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley and is comprised of villages. It offers eight golf courses, parks, trails, schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, medical facilities, cultural facilities and business parks. Nearly 120 model homes showcase the available single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums, which are priced from the low $200,000s to more than $700,000. Custom-home sites in The Ridges village are priced from the high $500,000s to more than $1 million, and predesigned custom homes are priced from $2.1 million. Apartments offer monthly rents starting from the low $800s. For more information, visit www.reviewjournal.com/real estate and click on the Summerlin link.
