Pulte buyer, sales agent confident in company

As both a Pulte Homes employee and homeowner, Chris Chaney is confident in the builder's abilities.

"Working for Pulte day in and day out, I'm confident in the quality of workmanship and the company's solid reputation," the sales agent said.

Chaney, who lives in the builder's Paradiso neighborhood in Summerlin, recently transferred from Silverstone Ranch to the staff at its new Escala neighborhood in The Paseos village.

"We sold out multiple releases during the grand opening weekend, totaling 33 homes in all," Chaney said. "Prospective home buyers have shown such interest in Escala's Water Smart homes because they give the environmentally conscious a direct way to help our community's drought situation by saving over 100,000 gallons of water per year per home."

Escala offers three single- and two-story designs ranging from 1,900 to 2,410 square feet, and priced from the low $600,000s.

In the nearby The Vistas village, Chaney and his wife, Leslie, recently moved into their 3380 plan. The design has four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a great room, formal living and dining rooms, covered patio and three-car garage.

"My wife and I chose the 3380 plan because we appreciate the gated Paradiso community with its unique architecture and streets. Also, with the master bedroom being downstairs and the kids' bedrooms upstairs, the home offers us privacy," he said.

The Chaneys have two children: daughter Cameron, 5, and son Blake, 1 1/2.

Paradiso also offers two single-story designs and another two-story plan, which measure from 3,000 to 3,448 square feet. They are priced from the low $730,000s and include turret entries and courtyards. They also offer chef Gustav Mauler's "Seal of Approval" upgraded stainless steel kitchen appliance package.

All of the builder's homes feature the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label and are at least 30 percent more energy efficient than federal standards require. In addition, they were built with the company's Environments for Living technology and offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use guarantee.

To visit Paradiso, take Interstate 215 to Far Hills Avenue and head west. Proceed to Carriage Hill Drive, turn left, go to Vista Run Drive and turn right.

To visit Escala, take Interstate 215 to Charleston Boulevard, head west past The Vistas village to the stop sign and turn right. Turn left into The Paseos village, proceed to the roundabout and turn right. Turn right onto Altura Verde and right on Prada Verde Drive.

Sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.
