Pulte homes enchant family
Pulte Homes has made living in Aliante in North Las Vegas a family affair for the Schianos. After David and Nola Schiano moved into their home in the master-planned community's Serenata neighborhood, they convinced his mother, Barbara Schiano, to move to the builder's nearby Vialetto neighborhood. "I moved from Summerlin to Aliante to be closer to my son, David, his wife, and my granddaughters," Barbara Schiano said. "After moving into my home at Vialetto, I cannot imagine living anywhere else." She purchased a 1,662-square-foot design. The plan features a turret entry, three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage. "This is our first Pulte home and we will definitely keep buying Pulte," Nola Schiano said. "Our customer service manager is awesome. He goes beyond the call of duty and takes care of everything we need, whenever we ask for something. We feel like we're the only homeowners he's catering to." Schiano and her husband purchased a 2,665-square-foot design. The plan has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a den and three-car tandem garage. It can accommodate as many as five bedrooms by converting the den and part of the garage. "We were lucky to purchase an inventory home where we moved in within 30 days, which was very gratifying considering how long it takes to have a home built these days," Nola Schiano said. "The location and the home itself fit our lifestyle perfectly." She said their three daughters, Cortney, 19, Sydney, 2, and Samantha, 4, are thrilled with the community's water park and tennis courts. "We've even attended two of the jazz concerts held at Aliante's park, which we thoroughly enjoyed," Nola Schiano said. Community amenities include the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park which has a playground, soccer fields and volleyball stadium; and the 18-hole public Aliante Golf Club. Serenata features four single- and two-story floor plans ranging from 1,881 to 2,665 square feet, and priced from the low $420,000s. Vialetto offers five single- and two-story designs measuring from 1,520 to 2,284 square feet, some on cul-de-sacs. Prices start from the high $300,000s. All homes feature the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star program and are at least 30 percent more energy efficient than those built to standard code, as well as the builder's Platinum Series Environments for Living technology. They offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use guarantee. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south. The sales office and models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon. The builder, based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., operates in more than 40 markets nationwide and offers 16 new-home subdivisions in the valley including Silverstone Ranch and Wyeth Ranch in the northwest; Paradiso, Miramonte, Escala and Palomar in Summerlin; and Anthem Highlands in Henderson. Its Del Webb brand is a leading builder of age-qualified communities. It also operates a mortgage division.
