California couple laud Centex for easy transaction at Aberdeen Falls

Fred and Grace Alvarez are delighted with their new home at Aberdeen Falls, one of four gated neighborhoods within Centex Homes' Waterfall community in North Las Vegas.

"We fell in love with the Oasis floor plan at Aberdeen," Fred Alvarez said. "We really liked the size. We wanted something over 3,000 square feet and this was over 3,800. After the tiny kitchen we had in our previous home, the great room and kitchen in this floor plan were wonderful.

"My wife had her heart set on five bedrooms and four baths, and she got just what she wanted. Plus, she fell in love with the beautiful circular staircase. It really has a striking appeal."

Their home also features a game room, master bedroom, and utility/laundry room on the second level.

Previously, the couple lived in Foster City, Calif., and had to sell that home before moving to Las Vegas.

"We had our hands full selling a house on the other end and moving money around to purchase the home in Las Vegas," Alvarez said of the service provided by CTX Mortgage, the builder's preferred lender. "They really stayed on top of things and were extremely helpful in arranging things for us long distance. They handled a lot of follow-up, took care of details and made an effort to keep the lines of communication open. This is the best home-buying experience I've had."

At 3,807 square feet, the Oasis plan is the largest at Aberdeen, a neighborhood of two-story homes. It can be built with as many as seven bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths and a three-car garage.

Homes also are available at Angeline Falls, a neighborhood of two-story floor plans, and at Latourelle Falls and Isabel Falls, which comprise single-story residences.

Home prices at Waterfall start from the $300,000s to the $400,000s.

Community amenities are planned to include four parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, a fitness center and climbing wall.
