Talavera homes built for energy efficiency
The Talavera neighborhood in Eldorado Highlands is ideal for first-time home buyers and families who need room to grow in the Eldorado community in North Las Vegas, according to Rob Tuvell, sales director for Pardee Homes. "Talavera buyers get a lot of home for their dollars. These homes represent a great value in a great neighborhood," Tuvell said, pointing out that all of the homes are built using energy-efficient technology. "Pardee Homes recently became the first large builder in the country to make the commitment that all of its new homes comply with the EPA's Energy Star program. It's part of Pardee's commitment to the environment, and also demonstrates our corporate mission to build homes for the way families really want to live." The homes include the ComfortWise/Energy Star package that helps keep homes warmer in winter and cooler in summer while reducing the need for energy by at least 30 percent. The model park is situated in an elevated location across from the community's 22-acre Seastrand Park, which Pardee developed and dedicated to the city of North Las Vegas. The model park also showcases eight homes available in the Fontana and Mandevilla neighborhoods. There are four floor plans with three to five bedrooms. Plan One is a single-story design with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage. This home measures 1,383 square feet and is priced from $137,450. Plan Two, also a single-story model, offers three bedrooms, an optional fourth bedroom or den, and two baths. A two-car garage is standard with this plan, which is priced from $143,950 to $150,450. The remaining plans are both two-story designs. Plan Three, priced from $161,950 to $176,950, features four bedrooms and three baths in 2,046 square feet, plus a two-car garage. An optional bonus room and three-car garage expands the home to 2,442 square feet. As many as five bedrooms, three baths, and a den or optional loft are available with Plan Four, a 2,296-square-foot home priced from $172,450. A three-car garage is standard. Eldorado features an elementary school, two parks and a fire station. To visit, take Craig Road to Camino al Norte then go north into the community. The model park is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m. Pardee is celebrating 50 years of building homes for more than 25,000 families in Southern Nevada.
