Christopher debuts Gauguin at Villas

Christopher Homes has introduced a new single-story design in The Villas, a luxury-home neighborhood being developed in Southern Highlands Golf Club in the southwestern valley.

The Gauguin design measures 1,983 square feet and features two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a dining room with adjoining great room, private front interior courtyard and a covered rear-yard patio. An optional third bedroom increases the size of the home to 2,163 square feet.

"The Gauguin is a magnificent home that offers the ultimate in comfort and luxury, combined with country club living at its finest, for just $329,900," sales agent Karen Gaines said. "Christopher Homes even includes a social membership to Southern Highlands Golf Club for each buyer, upon application approval.

Eight designs measuring from 1,983 to 3,400 square feet are offered. Prices start from $329,900 to the mid-$800,000s.

Interiors feature upgraded lighting fixtures, wiring for multiple telephone lines and cable, wiring for a home theater system in the great room, and a gas fireplace.

Master suites offer walk-in closets, custom closet shelving, dual china sinks with sit-down vanities, raised oval tubs and ceramic-tile showers with built-in seats.

Kitchens feature stainless steel appliances, oak or maple cabinetry with roll-out and adjustable shelves; granite counter tops, islands (per plan), five-burner cook tops, convection ovens and microwave ovens.

Exterior features include covered patios, concrete-tile roofs, private rear yards with block-wall fencing and gated returns, and numerous elevation choices.

Buyers can choose from a range of customizing options including wine cellars and courtyard fireplaces. In addition, they have the option of being able to add an additional level to their home. Selected one-story plans can be expanded to two stories, while the two-story design can be expanded to three stories.

The majority of the homes in the neighborhood are situated in private cul-de-sacs. Pool-sized home sites are available and front-yard landscaping is handled through the association.

Christopher Homes is also building The Christopher Collection in Southern Highlands. The neighborhood offers 15 flexible, single- and two-story designs measuring from 3,000 to 6,200 square feet and priced from the low $500,000s to more than $1 million. The builder includes a $25,000 allowance in the base price for customizing options.

Home sites at The Christopher Collection average one-quarter acre, most of which are located along the golf course. They variously offer views of the golf course lake, fairways, nearby mountains and city.

The price of each home also includes a social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval.

The guard-gated community features roving security, concierge services and recreational facilities, including the private golf course; a sports and fitness center; and a 42,000-square-foot clubhouse with a dining room, wine room for private parties, golf library, and men's and ladies' lounges and locker rooms. The sports and fitness center features tennis courts, a pool, spa, fitness equipment, professional trainers, and specialized treatment rooms.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit, head west and follow the signs. The information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
