Summerlin Computer Campaign

Heith Stahle's third-grade class at E.W. Staton Elementary School recently received "Coins for Computers" piggy banks from Summerlin Sam, mascot of the Summerlin master-planned community. The Howard Hughes Corp., the community's developer, has launched a fund-raising campaign for the community's newest public school, in which its pupils are encouraged to save their pennies and loose change over the next two months. The developer will match the youngsters' contribution up to $5,000 and will present the donation during the school's dedication ceremony on May 3. The funds are to be used for purchasing computers, software and other technological enhancements at the school.
