Summerlin's top-selling agent honored

The Howard Hughes Corp. recently honored about 400 realty agents for their efforts in promoting new-home sales in Summerlin.

Among the honorees was Liberty Realty's Linda Narag, whose 44 sales qualified her as the top agent in 2000.

Recognized as the top-selling firms were Liberty Realty, Prudential Americana Group and Realty Executives of Nevada.

More than half of last year's 3,173 new-home sales in Summerlin were attributable to Realtors, according to Stew Gibbons, a Hughes Corp. executive.

"Realtors turn home shoppers into home buyers, and we appreciate their ongoing support and interest in our community," he said.

Summerlin is home to two Tournament Players Club golf courses and the first Jack Nicklaus-designed Bear's Best course, along with five others. There are 12 major parks, more than 45 neighborhood parks, more than 45 miles of trails, more than a dozen schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, medical centers, cultural facilities, business parks, and more than 150 model homes.

Single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums are priced from under $100,000 to more than $700,000. Custom lots from one-quarter acre to three-quarters of an acre are priced from $90,000 to more than $1 million, while predesigned custom homes are priced from $500,000 to more than $1 million. Monthly rent for apartments starts from the $700s.

To visit the home finding center, take Sahara Avenue west, past Hualapai Way, to Town Center Drive. Or, take Interstate 215 to Sahara Avenue. The center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
