Anthem Country Club prepares for springtime

Anthem Country Club, a community in southwest Henderson, is preparing for its spring golf season.

Jeff Seman, director of golf, said the club's course is in its best condition since opening in March 1999.

"Our greens are spectacular, fairways immaculate and we have one of the top golf course conditions in Southern Nevada," Seman said.

"We had an extremely successful overseeding and our golf team headed by Head Golf Professional Mollie Gibson and Golf Superintendent Curtis Tyrell are ensuring our golf course is prime for a great season."

The championship golf course winds through the community and its mountain terrain.

Equity or "member-owned" memberships are available.

"Equity golf memberships are popular because of the ownership rights granted to members after turnover of the course from the developer. It's just like owning your own home versus renting one," Seman said.

Executive golf memberships are also available, offering nonresidents the opportunity to use the facilities, which include the golf course, clubhouse and fitness center.

"This is a unique opportunity as Anthem Country Club is one of the few golf communities that offers this type of membership," Seman said.

Other amenities include an athletic club, clubhouse, restaurants, Reflections Salon and a range of services.

The community will feature 1,600 homes and custom-home sites built around open areas such as the golf course.

Four series of homes are available, and feature 20 floor plans. Prices start from the $200,000s to more than $1 million. Select homes are ready for immediate move-in. Custom-home sites overlook the golf course, city or mountains.

Professional designers can assist buyers in selecting options and upgrades, such as floor coverings, counter tops, cabinets, interior colors, light fixtures, appliances and window coverings.

To visit the community, take Interstate 215 east to Eastern Avenue and proceed about three miles south of St. Rose Parkway.

The sales office and models are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
