Charity event held at Sun City Anthem
The Women's Club at Sun City Anthem recently organized an event to promote the Foundation for Positively Kids, a proposed facility to benefit children in need of specialized medical care. "We estimate it will take $1.2 million to launch Positively Kids," Fred Schultz, chief executive of the foundation, said. "With the help of good people like those at Sun City Anthem, we will reduce the number of children being sent out of state for skilled nursing care." The event was held on Valentine's Day at Anthem Center, Del Webb's recreational facility that offers fitness and social opportunities for residents, as well as Trumpets Restaurant, which is open to the public. Sun City Anthem is an age-qualified community in Henderson. It offers 19 models, measuring from 1,080 to 3,009 square feet and larger through the Gold Key program. The homes are priced from the low $140,000s to more than $500,000. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway and follow the signs. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
