Pardee Homes supports visions of home in student art
For the 10th consecutive year, Pardee Homes of Nevada awarded saving bonds to 20 young artists who were winners of the annual Where I Live school arts exhibition.
"While Pardee has built homes for more than 35,000 families in the Las Vegas Valley in the past 55 years, we are also dedicated to building communities, and that starts with support of students, teachers and schools," said Pardee representative Adrian Gonzalez who handed out the awards, assisted by Marie Kasilag.

Winners of the contest, which drew 2,200 entries from 35 area elementary schools, had their artwork on display at the Venetian Hotel, where the awards ceremony was held.
"Through their art, these kids show us that Southern Nevada is a great place to call home," Gonzalez said. "We couldn't agree more. It is events like this that make us especially proud to be your neighbors."
The juried art exhibition is part of the Nevada Housing Division's community outreach program, asking students to draw where they live, where they would like to live, their fantasy homes or their homes as they relate to their community.
The colorful depictions of life in Las Vegas are also included in a calendar published each year by the Housing Division.
Pardee co-sponsors the event along with the Clark County School District-Community Partnership Program and The Venetian Foundation.
