Richmond American's Wakefield designs offer open layouts

With open floor plans and a southwest location, Richmond American's Wakefield community offers a new place to call home, according to sales associate Ken Kelsey.

"One of the really nice features about Wakefield is the big park in the center with lots of trees. Not only does it add scenic charm, it gives residents a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The community is also close to hiking, biking, plus parks and more at Mountain's Edge and Red Rock Canyon, so it's ideal for outdoor enthusiasts."

Wakefield offers four two-story floor plans, with prices starting from the $280,000s.

"Our floor plans have open layouts that flow from one room into the next," Kelsey said.

"The gourmet kitchens are one of the central points, with open spaces that make them great for preparing family meals and for entertaining."

Three model homes are available for touring within the neighborhood.

Priced from the low $300,000s, the Carmel offers four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and 1,700 square feet.

An optional loft is available in lieu of one of the bedrooms.

The entryway leads into a formal living room and dining room, while the kitchen and nook are open to the family room.

Depending on the elevation selected, buyers can opt for a deck to highlight the second story of this home.

Priced from the $310,000s, the Portola offers 1,800 square feet, four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. A front porch enhances the entry. The kitchen offers a breakfast nook area.

The laundry room is located upstairs, with three bedrooms and the master bedroom suite. The master bedroom is located across the hall from the other bedrooms, providing privacy.

Buyers can select an optional loft in place of the fourth bedroom.

Priced from the $330,000s, the Cabrillo is the largest floor plan, offering 2,100 square feet, four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.

This home is highlighted by vaulted ceilings in the entryway, a formal living room and dining room, an upstairs tech center with an optional deck, and a master bedroom suite with two walk-in closets.

Also available at Wakefield is the San Lorenzo floor plan, priced from the $280,000s.

The three-bedroom floor plan includes great-room layout, dining room and kitchen on the first floor. The home's second level features a master bedroom suite and two secondary bedrooms, with an optional deck available off one of the bedrooms.

Wakefield is located in the southwest portion of the valley, providing access to Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway.

The neighborhood affords access to dining, shopping and entertainment opportunities, as well as outdoor recreation at nearby Red Rock Canyon or Mountain's Edge.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the Blue Diamond Road exit and go west. Go south on El Capitan Way and west on Gomer Road.

The sales center and model homes are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Friday, when they open at noon. For more information, call 784-0352.
