KB's Liberty targets first-time buyers



KB Home's Liberty and Villas series of homes are aimed at first-time buyers and are designed to fit a variety of lifestyles.

"Every year more and more families are priced out of the housing market. These communities make homeownership possible for many of these families," said Leah Bryant, president of the builder's Las Vegas division.

The Villas at Tropicana, located in the southeastern valley, offers seven floor plans, priced from the low $120,000s to the $140,000s. The two-story homes feature three or four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and one-car garages.

To visit The Villas, take Tropicana Avenue east, past Boulder Highway, to the sales office, which is located on the right.

Three Liberty neighborhoods are currently offered, with another two expected to open soon.

Liberty at Silverado is located in the Silverado Ranch area in the southwestern valley; Liberty at Orchards is located in the northeast; and Liberty at Mayfield is in the northwest. Models are featured at the Silverado and Orchards neighborhoods.

"The demand for this product has far exceeded our expectations," Catherine Shaw, a sales manager, said. "We made it possible for home buyers to purchase homes in very popular areas of Las Vegas where they could not afford to previously."

The Liberty series is comprised of eight floor plans. They range from 692 to 1,486 square feet and are priced from the low $100,000s to the $130,000s. The one- and two-story designs have two to four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and one-car garages.

To visit Liberty at Silverado, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue, head south and turn right on Silverado Ranch Boulevard. At Bermuda Road turn left, travel to Pyle Avenue and turn left, and then right on Amigo Street.

To visit Liberty at Orchards, take U.S. Highway 95 to Charleston Boulevard, go east to Tree Line Drive and turn south.

To visit the temporary sales office for Liberty at Mayfield, take U.S. Highway to Cheyenne Avenue, go west to Tenaya Way, turn north and go to Alexander Road. Go west to Sea Hero and turn right.

All sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Friday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Buyers may select customizing options for their homes in the builder's Home Studio at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201.

Services also include financial assistance such as free credit reports, through its Homebuyers Club, as well as help finding a new home in one of the builder's more than 20 neighborhoods in the valley through its Home Finding Center.

The builder also operates a full-service mortgage company.
