Two-story homes appeal to buyers at The Villas

Homeowners are making The Villas a popular two-story neighborhood in the southwestern valley, according to builder Rhodes Homes.

"We have many home buyers flocking to the great two-story home values available at The Villas," sales agent Jacqueline Jansen said. "They mention that they enjoy the convenience of not having the difficult decision of choosing between one- and two-story homes."

The homes are popular with many first-time home buyers looking to purchase a residence during a community's first phase.

"Many homeowners believe that the best home appreciation comes when they purchase during a community's first phase," Jansen said.

The neighborhood has three two-story floor plans with two-car garages. Each home also includes white granite counter tops in the kitchen when the buyer uses the builder's preferred lender.

The smallest home, measuring 1,856 square feet, is priced from the high $160,000s. The three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath model comes with a loft and an option of converting the front two bedrooms into a bonus room.

Another three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath plan measures 2,024 square feet with a great room, dining room and upstairs master bedroom. The two front-facing bedrooms can be configured into a second suite or bonus room. The design is priced from the mid-$170,000s.

A 2,400-square-foot design features four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, living room, family room, formal dining room and upstairs laundry area. The fourth bedroom can be converted into a master bedroom retreat, and the two front bedrooms can be built as a bonus room. The home is priced from the high $180,000s.

Amenities at the 220-home neighborhood include a swimming pool, spa, barbecue area and a play area that is under construction.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Sunset Road and turn west, following the signs. The model homes and sales office are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
