Richmond American aids charities

For several years, Richmond American Homes and its employees have invested their time and money in a variety of charitable community events throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

In April, the company took part in the DJ's for PJ's benefit for Child Haven and the second annual Tour de Summerlin bicycling event.

Richmond was a sponsor of DJ's for PJ's, an event which resulted in the donation of more than 260 pairs of pajamas by its employees, and more than 3,000 donated pajamas valleywide. Child Haven is a county-run facility that houses children who have been removed from homes due to situations such as abuse or exposure to drug use.

The builder's involvement in Tour de Summerlin was founded on its commitment to its Asbury Park neighborhood in the community.

The builder was one of several businesses to take part in post-ride activities, which included the presentation of a check for $10,000 to Outside Las Vegas, a nonprofit organization.
