First-time buyers end search for home in Aliante

First-time home buyers Leslie and Jamie Fautt searched in and around North Las Vegas before finding the style of home and neighborhood they wanted at the Aliante master-planned community.

"We wanted a convenient location, but something that felt more suburban and away from the Las Vegas Strip," Leslie Fautt said. "We looked at every community we could find in the area and Aliante was our favorite for many reasons, including the attractive look of the homes, streets and open space areas. Also, we are planning to start a family soon, so the parks, trails and other family-oriented amenities were very appealing to us."

The Fautts chose a Plan One design at Pardee Homes' Seasons neighborhood.

"We love the spacious and sensible design of the Plan One model," Fautt said. "It is very comfortable for the two of us, plus it has the space we will need to grow as a family. We also felt that the home was a real value, considering its size and all of the included features."

Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. It encompasses more than 1,900 acres, and consists of an all-ages village and an age-qualified village, Sun City Aliante.

Prices for homes range from the low $200,000s to the $700,000s.

Builders are Del Webb, D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes, Perma-Bilt Homes and Pulte Homes.

About 430 acres are designated for recreational and public purposes including the Aliante Golf Club, the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park and two additional city parks, trails, and an arroyo.

Proposed plans include three schools.

Roughly 100 acres are allocated for commercial development.

An information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To visit, take U.S. 95 Highway to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to Aliante Parkway exit then go south.
