Focus hosts grand opening for Mountain's Edge sales centerSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Focus Property Group celebrated the grand opening of the sales center at Mountain's Edge Wednesday evening. On hand were community leaders, home builders and members of the development team, all of whom were treated to live musical entertainment and refreshments. A key feature at the center is its coffee shop, where visitors can enjoy various drinks and pastries in an indoor or patio setting. A small playground is also available. "Our goal is to be more than a home finding center," Deonna Stocker, coordinator of the Home Search Café, said. "We wanted to create an introduction to Mountain's Edge that is located in a comfortable setting and provides a wealth of information to the consumer. (It) is located in an area that offers views of the entire master-planned development. Visitors can find a location of the community on the (topographic) table, and then look out the windows in the direction of the particular neighborhood." Visitors also can view displays showing how the community relates to the Old Spanish Trail, as well as the railroads and mining. There are also displays about water conservation and the area's native plants and animals. The center contains a big-screen television, which plays a video about the lifestyle that can be expected at Mountain's Edge. Rather than filling out buyer profile cards, visitors will be asked to record the information on PC tablets. The information will be transmitted directly to the home builders, who will then match a floor plan to the customer's needs. The 3,000-acre community is located at Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley. Plans include 500 acres of parks and trail systems, four elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school. Areas have been set aside for commercial development. Twenty-two builders are active within the community, which will comprise 12,500 homes at buildout. They are: Amstar, Astoria, Avante, Beazer, Chartered, Concordia, Desert Wind, D.R. Horton, Greystone/Lennar, Juliet, KB Home, Kimball Hill, Meritage/Perma-Bilt, Pardee, R/S Development, Stanpark, Storybook, Toll Bros., Trophy, US Home/Lennar, Warmington Nevada and Woodside. To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road and exit west.
