Pardee Homes unveils Tamarind at Eldorado

Tamarind, Pardee Homes' newest neighborhood at Eldorado Highlands in North Las Vegas, marked its grand opening last weekend with more than 2,000 visitors, sales executive Rob Tuvell said.

"The turnout for Tamarind underscores the strong interest that families continue to show for the Eldorado master-planned community lifestyle," Tuvell said.

Four one- and two-story floor plans range from 1,914 to 2,959 square feet.

The flexible designs have as many as five bedrooms and three baths, and offer options such as a retreat, home-management center, bonus room, loft, tech center and library. Additional features include high-volume ceilings, a front porch or courtyard, and upgraded wiring.

Prices for the homes start from $332,950 to $397,950.

To visit, take Craig Road to Camino al Norte and proceed north to the community's entrance. The sales center and model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Models for the builder's Fontana and Mandevilla neighborhoods also are featured. They offer nine single- and two-story homes priced from $267,450 to $409,450.

All of the builder's homes meet the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star standards, which are designed to reduce heating and cooling costs.

"They exceed national energy-efficiency standards by at least 30 percent," Tuvell said.

Community amenities include parks, an elementary school and a fire station.

Pardee has built nearly 30,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952.
