Seven Hills hosts concert

The Seven Hills community in Henderson will host a free Celtic concert by Golden Bough on Saturday from 8 to 10 p.m. at Sonata Park, 1550 Seven Hills Drive.

Drawing upon their 21 years as a touring group, Golden Bough has amassed a collection of songs from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man, Brittany and Galicia.

The trio's musical fare ranges from haunting ballads, mythical tales and beautiful aires to lively sing-alongs and toe-tapping jigs.

Attendees are invited to bring blankets and picnic baskets to the evening event, which is sponsored by the Seven Hills Builders and the city of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. Refreshments will be available for sale, and there will also be prizes and giveaways.

To reach the park, take St. Rose Parkway to Seven Hills Drive, which is west of Eastern Avenue, and go south.
