MacDonald Highlands offers golf with home sites

The MacDonald Highlands community will include a DragonRidge Country Club membership with the purchase of a custom-home site in the King's Links neighborhood.

Seven home sites offer views of the seventh fairway of the golf course, along with its lake and waterfalls. All are also located across from a 4-acre park, which will feature two lighted tennis courts.

"Fantastic views of DragonRidge's signature golf hole have created great interest in the custom-home sites in the King's Link neighborhood," said Rich MacDonald, president of the MacDonald Cos. "The size of these custom-home sites, which range from one-third to over one-half acre, and the combined views of waterfalls, golf course and mountains make King's Links an ideal setting for spacious single-story or two-story homes."

Lot prices start at $310,000.

"Interest in these home sites has been so great among golfers that it was natural for us to offer a golf membership with a custom lot purchase in the King's Links neighborhood," MacDonald said.

Upon completion, the guard-gated community will feature 17 neighborhoods spread over 1,200 acres. Eight neighborhoods are under development. Lots in these neighborhoods range in price from $179,000 to more than $2 million.

Neighborhoods already open include The Highlands, Lochmere, Palisades, Lairmont, Montrose, Lochinver Ridge and Glenbrook Canyon. Stonehaven features semicustom homes by Toll Bros.

The golf clubhouse, scheduled for completion next year, will feature a golf shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, upscale dining room, and a separate mixed grill and lounge. A temporary clubhouse is open and tee times are available.
