MacDonald Highlands' views, location lauded

MacDonald Highlands was designed to blend with its mountain environment, while offering custom-home buyers views of the city, mountains and a private golf course, according to Rich MacDonald, president of MacDonald Cos.

"Whether you prefer a golf course site overlooking DragonRidge Country Club, a hidden canyon, a dramatic cliff or your own mountaintop, we have a custom lot for your choice of lifestyle," he said. "If you have ever dreamed of belonging to such a distinctive community, I invite you to experience MacDonald Highlands."

There are 10 custom-home neighborhoods in the guard-gated community in Henderson. Flat and hillside lots ranging from one-quarter acre to more than 2.5 acres are available. They are priced from $220,000 to more than $3.5 million.

Highlighting the community is DragonRidge, a private golf course designed by Jay Moorish and David Druzisky. It is open to the public until its membership capacity is reached.

A clubhouse, scheduled for completion this year, will feature a pro shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, dining room, and a mixed grill and lounge.

Community amenities will include three neighborhood parks on about 10 acres with tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; picnic areas; and playgrounds. Also planned are several miles of fitness trails.

To visit the information center, located at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive, turn south and proceed to Horizon Ridge Parkway.

The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
