Sun City buyer rediscovers golf
The championship golf courses at Sun City Anthem are a major reason Don and Diane Bandetinni selected the age-qualified community in Henderson. "Don had not had an opportunity to play golf for some time, but since moving to Nevada, he's taken it up again," Diane Bandetinni said. "We love our home. It's right at the 14th hole of the Concord golf course." The Revere at Anthem Golf Club features two courses: the Lexington, a 7,143-yard course, and the Concord, a 7,050-yard course. Concord winds through natural canyons and incorporates resort-style landscaping and a series of elevation changes. The Bandetinnis selected the Cambridge model, one of several floor plans offered at the community. "I love the kitchen and general layout," Bandetinni said. "We lived in a 5-acre country home in California after retiring from Seattle, but it was just too much work. The Cambridge is very comfortable for us." Homes measure from 1,496 to 3,175 square feet, and are priced from the low $200,000s to more than $500,000. The couple looked into other age-qualified communities before buying their home. "How wonderful to live in such a fun city and still have the Del Webb lifestyle," Bandetinni said. "Everything is there if you want to participate. There is every opportunity to have a fun time." The community also is home to Anthem Center, which offers fitness, social and recreational activities for residents, as well as Trumpets Restaurant and Lounge, which is open to the public. Diane Bandetinni is in the bunco and canasta clubs, and has made a lot of friends. Her husband is a team captain for bocce. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway, turn left on Anthem Parkway and then turn right on Alexandria Drive. Models are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
