Toll Bros. shows off outdoor options

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Many of Toll Bros.' model homes showcase luxurious outdoor living areas that include resort-style swimming pools complemented by streams, gazebos, cabanas, rock waterfalls and footbridges.

"Living in the desert, the pool area becomes the place to be for several months of the year," company vice president Gary Mayo said. "When it comes to building luxury homes, the back yard needs to not only be a comfortable place for entertaining, but also needs to leave a lasting impression of beauty and style."

The Milano model at Toscana, a northwestern valley neighborhood at Farm Road and Tenaya Way, displays an unusual outdoor design. Surrounding the pool is an Old West-style train on a track that runs between two rock waterfalls, each with a small pond at its base. The curved-edged pool and surrounding deck area include a mix of large red rocks and smaller, neutral-colored stones for a look that complements the desert.

The Portofino model, also at Toscana, has a square, tiered pool that wraps around a patio that allows for poolside dining. Also featured are old-fashioned street lamps and brick-wall waterfalls.

The back yard of the third model, the Villa D'Este, is highlighted by a pool with a stone deck. Also showcased is a rock waterfall, a small footbridge that crosses the pool, a stream with a rock bed, and a spa. A cabana completes the setting.

The largest floor plan at the neighborhood can be built with as many as five bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. Four designs are available, and are priced from the high $300,000s.

Two additional neighborhoods built by Toll Bros. feature upscale back yard designs. They are Monterossa and Barrington, both of which are located in The Vistas village in Summerlin.

Monterossa's Vasari model is accented by extensive use of natural stone, as well as a rock waterfall that flows into the pool. Adjacent to the pool is a Grecian-style gazebo. A stone footbridge is situated between the pool and spa.

The Trapani model features a European-themed design with a tiered pool and a backdrop of arches that were designed to appear weathered. Statues complete the design.

Buyers can choose from four designs at Monterossa, where residences with as many as four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths are available. Prices start from the low $300,000s.

To visit the neighborhood, take Interstate 215 to Far Hills Avenue, go west to Carriage Hill Drive then go south to Park Vista Drive. Turn west at Masolino Lane.

Barrington's Catania model features a square, tiered pool with a fountain and extensive use of stone.

Homes with as many as four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths are available at Barrington. Prices start from the high $400,000s.

To view the models, take Interstate 215 to Far Hills Avenue, go west to Carriage Hill Drive and go south. Turn right at Vista Run Drive and proceed to Roma Nord Place.

All of the builder's models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Toll Bros. has been building homes for 36 years, and is developing 175 neighborhoods in 21 states.
