Construction starts on first model at Aberdeen

Construction has started on the first model home at Aberdeen, a US Home neighborhood in the Southern Highlands community in the southwestern valley. The home is expected to be completed by mid-July.

Also under construction is the gated neighborhood's tower entry monument.

Standard home sites measure 70X120 and cul-de-sac lots as large as one-quarter acre also available.

Five single- and two-story floor plans are featured, ranging from 2,550 to 4,500 square feet. Prices start from the $280,000s.

The model under construction is the Brentwood, which can be seen at the builder's Palazzo Monte neighborhood in Seven Hills. The single-story home can be built with 2,550 to 3,000 square feet.

Also available at Aberdeen is the two-story San Clemente plan, which offers 3,880 to 4,200 square feet; and the Thousand Oaks, a 3,229-square-foot home that can be expanded to 3,700 square feet. The Beverly Hills plan can be built as large as 3,800 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms.

The fifth design, the all-new Coronado, will also be modeled at the neighborhood. The two-story home measures 4,402 square feet and is part of a new collection of homes available through the builder's Custom Residential Division. Exterior highlights include a courtyard entry, split garage and varied roof lines.

"We are confident the new Coronado will be one of our most popular floor plans," Zoot said.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the Lake Mead Drive exit and head west to Southern Highlands Parkway. Proceed to Somerset Hills then turn left.

The sales office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
