Diamond Creek homes become family affair
Ralph and Sally Pellican discovered how much their son Bryan and his family enjoyed their home at Pulte's Diamond Creek neighborhood. So, they purchased their own home across the street from him. "I really like the Diamond Creek area," Sally Pellican said. "It's so quiet and we can actually see the stars." The couple chose a 1,653-square-foot plan at the northwestern neighborhood, which features one- and two-story models. Floor plans range from 1,418 to 2,284 square feet and offer three to five bedrooms. Prices range from $157,990 to $188,990. Energy-efficiency features, such as low-e windows and attic insulation, also factored into the couple's decision. "We saw a sign that says Pulte guarantees that our energy bill would be only a certain amount every month," she said. "That really attracted us to the home." Pellican also praised the home's kitchen, with its volume of cabinet space as well as the view from its window. The neighborhood also features a one-acre park, which Pellican says is "great for kids." All homes contain the builder's Platinum Series Environments for Living technology, and are recognized as Energy Star homes. The builder also provides a two-year heating and cooling guarantee. The neighborhood has several homes ready for move-in. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, go east to Jones Boulevard and turn left. Proceed to Elkhorn Road, turn right and follow the signs. The sales office is open noon to 7 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Pulte Homes, the nation's largest home builder, is developing 10 neighborhoods in Southern Nevada. Three additional neighborhoods -- Sage Hills, Cara Vella and Wyeth Ranch -- are planned.
